William the pirate
All he does is ferry souls
But not long ago he was somewhere else
In a world with alive folks
William the pirate is just a legend, they say
His heart had to go, but the children know
He came back to life that day
There must have been some magic when the Dutchman went on down
For after a minute or two
It rose up from the ground
O, William the pirate
Was alive as he could be
And the children say he knew great swordplay
And he would teach you and me
Thumpety thump thump

Look at William go

Hear those cannons blow
William the pirate
Knew he had to save his dad
So he yelled, "The guns! Ready them! Each one!
Blow the Company away!"
Aboard the Dutchman, with a pistol in his hand
Shooting one, two, three
All around the sea, shouting
"Sink us if you can!"
He led the Pearl, the boys and girls
Don't let the anchor drop
And he only paused a moment when
He had to holler, "Stop!"
For William the pirate
Had to hurry on his way
But he waved good-bye, saying
"Don't you cry! I'll be back again one day!"
