She Had a Choice...

I had a choice
Not a lot of girls do
To choose the man
To be my dream come true

The first was nice
Held me like I was glass
Kissed me gently
I'd be a fool to pass

The second, too,
Loved me in his own way
Not as gentle
When he kissed me that day

My caretaker
That's what I call the first
He's everything
He'll love me through the worst

Friend, the second
Simply, my dear, strange friend
He loves me, yes
Won't show me in the end

The caretaker
He watches over me
And he'll be there
When it's him that I need

But, then, my friend
See as he makes me smile
He makes me blush
Every once and a while

Then came the time
When I had to decide
I had to choose
Couldn't run, couldn't hide

Hard decision
But it had to be made
Chose caretaker
And watched my dear friend fade

Now, I'm alone
The caretaker has left
Left me for now
This mistake I'll regret

When he comes back
I know I should be here
And forget the friend
I have loved oh so dear

But, friend, love me
I didn't mean you harm
I guess I just
Was blinded by your charm
This is written from the point of view of Elizabeth Swann/Turner. Enjoy. I can't tell if this is Willabeth or Sparrabeth, but I hope you all like it just the same. Love you all!

She should have chosen Jack. Who waits for the same guy for ten years after he gets you knocked up?
